Dear Oiler Families,

The West Hardin School Board and administration would like to thank the community for their input on both sides of the mask mandate issue. After a great deal of discussion and debate, the School Board voted to continue to comply with the masking requirements and the TEA public health guidance for the remainder of this school year. Due to there being no change in the contact tracing and quarantine requirements, the Board felt strongly that this was the best way to keep our students and staff teaching and learning on campus and at lower risk of missing extracurricular and special end of the year activities (Prom, Graduation, Concerts, Banquets, Kindergarten Graduation, etc.). If the public health guidelines change, the Board will revisit this issue.
