I have been with the district since the 2004-2005 school year. I live in Beaumont but I don't mind the commute because I love my job, the staff, administration and children of West Hardin! I love teaching first grade because the educational and social development of the kids this age is very evident throughout the year! It's very rewarding to see learning in action! I am a native Minnesotan but have been in Beaumont since 1984. I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and later went back to school to earn my teaching certification in Early Childhood through 4th grade. I've been married to my husband Dud for 22 years and have two sons, Hunter and Griffin. I have coached UIL Music Memory for 3 years.
